8th September 2019

Lord Zarquon has now given me the finished digital version of the Instrumental Legends album cover for me to submit to CD Baby. I've used this to complete the album submission and I have requested a release date of 23rd September 2019. This gives me a bit of time to gear up for promoting it. I had a look at a Wars of the Roses website and saw that the 23rd September is the anniversary of the battle of Blore Heath which was a Yorkist victory so that date seemed appropriate for the release date of the new album.

The album has got 13 instrumental tracks and it was really Lord Zarquon's idea. There are 3 instrumentals that haven't appeared on the previous albums listed on our website. Several of the other instrumentals have some new things on them such as a new bass guitar part played by Lord Zarquon. Apart from Mortimer Overture all of the tunes have been remixed and remastered. The album has basically been recorded from 2013 to 2019.

Friday was quite an emotional day in my office in Exeter. My good friend Malcolm Bounder Bowen had retired on 30th August and we had a farewell party for him on Friday. I had recorded a comedy retirement song for him called Goodbye Mabo31 and made a video containing some silly photos which made us all laugh when we watched it. We all had a very nice meal at the Cosy Club and Malcolm gave a very funny speech containing some of the highlights of his career in Banking.

GOODBYE MABO THIRTY ONE

WORKING WITH YOU WAS GREAT FUN

WHEN YOU RETIRE WE'LL MISS YOU

IN YOUR RETIREMENT WHAT WILL YOU DO
