A song called 'Single and Alone' that I composed several years has been included in a Sounds on the Couch Youtube compilation. I think it was recorded when I was playing guitar in my band called Session 75 that formed from the last version of the Morrisons. This must be about 10 years ago, just before I started recording my first Richard III concept album with Lord Zarquon. Steve Ley is playing drums on the recording and all of the other instruments are played by me. I must admit that I was quite surprised to find out that it has been included in the Sounds on the Couch Songs For Mental Health Youtube compilation. My song is the third one in the playlist and starts about 7 minutes, 20 seconds from the beginning of the playlist. Here is the link to it:-

I have also just received a long email from cousin Rob who has reviewed the Musical Almanac album as follows:-

Hi Ian,

It's The Musical Almanac this time! I think I've been quite quick reviewing this, relatively speaking! It might have something to do with the fact you'll be visiting soon and I didn't want to be embarrassed that I still hadn't done it! To be fair I probably wouldn't have done it now but I've been having a bit of a slow week as I haven't exactly felt very energetic and hence haven't wanted to ride much. Probably just the heat which I don't like these days.

A general comment which is one of those rather subjective things that we have commented on before, but when comparing the tracks from this album with their counterparts on Songs About Devon, that album has a crisper sound to it, the definition of some of the instruments is greater. Editor Note: Could that be something to do with Lord Zarquon ha ha!!

I've also noticed a similar difference when I listen across my two CD players so I now stick to one for a fairer comparison. It may be just the recording or you might have adjusted a few things.
